Hello all,
I recently came across Piwigo. I want to use it for hosting sports drills.
Each drill will have different tags, think about it as "offense" and "defense".
Here comes the catch: as the tag cloud would be huge, I want to only show tags corresponding their language.
For example: [lang=en]offense[/lang][lang=de]Angriff[/lang]
Maybe some of you have an idea how this could work?
Best regards
Patrick

Hi :-)
Have you activated the plugin Extended Description?

Of course I did. ;-)
And it works with the description, but if I add a tag, it only shows a world globe, but the tag is not visible in the tag cloud.

Hi LastrisOrt,
I just did a test using the example tag you gave and yes it only displayed a globe in the tag manager on the admin page. I realised why, because my Piwigo was set to french but there was no french option only "en" and "de", is your Piwigo interface in the corresponding language ?
The tag cloud in the gallery doesn't have a "globe" icon on the modus and bootstrap darkroom themes I tested. I only had a globe appear in the administration in the specific case I mentionned above. What theme are you trying to use?

hannah, you're a star!
Got it sorted (kind of).
Of course now it's a struggle to match the corresponding tags, because you always have to type [lang=xx].
But at least I can have the tags in the language I need.
Thank you very much for your support!
And trust me, I've got another good question/request I will post anytime soon, but I don't want to mix up topics here.
Again, thank you for your help!
Kind regards
Patrick

Got the time to play around with it. Overall, it works, but with a small caveat:
If I filter by tags (which users will do most of the time) It will shrink down the results (so far so good).
Unfortunately, I have the tag which is translated into another language present as well.
The tag bar looks like this: (soccer 84) <- selected tag
(+ 84) <- empty tag, because it says "Fußball" in German, but will not come up, cause it's translated.
Of course I can/will accept it, but imagine the database growing and adding more languages. This might be annoying to some users.
Maybe someone has an idea?
Thanks in advance
Kind regards
Patrick
