Hello/Hi/Greetings,

I'm unable to enable plugins or add permalinks with a new Manual Install. I am able to add and configure a Theme and have successfully Synchronized 126 Albums with 7,000+ images. The website works without issue for visitors.

Plugins - error message when enabling a new plugin

Permalink - any effort to add a permalink generates a "Not Authorized" warning

Apache error log has no entries.

One user account - Webmaster

Suspects:
Permissions - install delivered 777 for D and 644 for F.
MySQL - user is set to use "caching sha2 authentication" for Authentication (default for phpMyAdmin).

Resolved - by switching DNS from Cloudflare back to my registrar.

Odd issues with login and admin behavior, plugin and permalink issues and the site being a subdomain led me to this path via forum posts here.

I'd moved DNS for this subdomain site to Cloudflare in an effort to combat huge waves of Chinese AI bots, unfortunately there was no change in AI bot traffic for my primary or subdomain. So instead of troubleshooting I changed DNS back to my registrar and a new Piwigo install worked as expected and as it had for my local test setup.

If you want to fight back bots, use a tool made for this task : the plugin Bot protection https://piwigo.org/ext/index.php?eid=1033

Thank you @Katryne BYB looks great.

Despite having Cloudflare's "Block AI bots" & "Bot fight mode" enabled for the past 8 days I had 867 zero second visits from China yesterday. I've had 10,897 new visitors from China in the last 3 weeks. Time to start posting "interesting" pictures of my countries orange leader? ;-P

I had up to 75000 visitors a day for my small family album last June before I tested BYB. Today, it's quiet and normal, in line with the interest of the content.
