yes, they can using plugin Admin Tools, but only one by one. you click a picture then you enter menu, then save, then click the next picture, etc.
is not like the admin administration menu where he can put titles to multiple photos in a single page and save one single time.

Admin tools plugin have nothing to do with the admin pages.
It's a toolbar for admin that you see in the top of the pages for regular pages ... and seems also for regular users, even from the name of the plugin it didn't seem to do that :)

If the user added the album themselves then they get the edit description option that admin gets. I think you might need the community plugin for that.
If your users aren't getting the option you need the plugin "added by" which adjusts the owner of the album to the user. This is only if you created the album and assigned it to the user.

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with Openstreetmap plugin and editing photo properites.
1. Why olny admin have permission to edit / add OSM location to photo? Non-admin user cannot do this...
2. Photo properites (additional or default) cannot be add WITH photo. I must edit photo to add description, tags, etc... Olny admin can do this, not user.

Hi!
I see it's an old topic, but could not find any more recent discussion. I have a gallery which is updated only using synchrolization (physilal albums), no uploads. Is there any way to let users edit descriptions of the photos? Admin tools plugin does not help, because it can "Give access to quick edit to photo owners even if they are not admin" - but synchronized photos have no owner, right?
Would be very grateful for any advice!

You can add/edit a description, written in the photo's metadata and in the database, using the plugin geo_tag_editor or face_tag_editor

I am keeping an eye on your plugins :)
Unfortunately for me it's extremely inportant that Piwigo has read-only access to the original photo archive. So plugins that try to modify source files don't work at my setup...
