Hello,
I am getting 403 Forbidden when trying to reach piwigo.org (i. e. everything on that domain). Piwigo.com works fine. It used to work OK, now I can only visit via proxy. I did check and my IP is not showing in any public blocklist (I also do not see a reason why it should). Any idea?
$ curl https://piwigo.org/ <html> <head><title>403 Forbidden</title></head> <body bgcolor="white"> <center><h1>403 Forbidden</h1></center> <hr><center>nginx</center> </body> </html>
Thank you, jose

You must have been automatically banned by our security system. Let's see what you did wrong...
[... a few minutes later...]
*3.1*4.**.164 added to deny list, 51 requests in 45 seconds (freq=1.1333333333333)
A high frequency of pages visited is a pattern followed by attackers. Sorry you've been a collateral damage :-/

Some days ago I had the same problem.
Seems to me, that the security systems bannes too early. I was just visiting several themes in the english and german forum.

thank you. it's also nice to know that i was not the only one affected.

Today this happend to me.
Is the block lifted automatically?
Kinda of a problem when updates do not seem to be working with access to the website.

Just a little push on this thread...
Please point me to the right channel to get the block lifted?
Really need to get this sorted to be able to continue my gallery3 to piwigo transition.
Right now its not possible to install or check any of the plugins.
Only way for me to access this site is through vpn, but my server does not have that capability.

Yes, that could be a ban because of your IP. Either you have to be whitelisted by the forum admins or you need to contact your ISP for change of IP.

Hi this happened to me somehow. I am not sure what I did to make it seem like I attacked the website. Was trying to migrate my piwigo server so was using the forum over the past week a bunch.
If someone could unban me I can update my old server to the newest version to finish my database migration.
Currently using a VPN/tor to access the website. Though it was down for everyone until I tried it just now.
Thanks

Hi :-)
e-mail to contact at piwigo.org with you IP

Hi Thank you.
From email daemon I got un-deliverable when emailing specifically 'support (at) piwigo (dot) org' also dot com. So you must mean website email form on contact page. I tried that. Have not heard back yet. I am not sure the form worked. I understand it's a free project. I will donate if unbanned :)
Either way, I think I have a work around. I can install VPN software on the new server and use that only for updating/plugin stuff. Old server OS is EOL, too late to install wireguard VPN easily, so for that I can do one-time manual update 15.6->16.3. Or buy USB wifi adapter and use wifi hot spot

Thanks. I somehow misread 'support' instead of 'contact'. Either way, they either unbanned me from what I sent on the contact page or else the ban was temporary and is now lifted. Was able to update from within the piwigo admin section today.
