Hi Linty,
What exactly am I missing out on if I don't use MariaDB 11.7+ or MySQL 9+? I would have to change this for the entire server, and I'm a little afraid of breaking something...

Hello,
No, you are not required to upgrade MariaDB/MySQL on your server. You just need to be aware that some Piwigo AI features will not be available, but nothing will break at all!

Oh, I probably didn't express myself clearly. I'm just worried about breaking something on the server, or that other websites might stop working properly, if I update MariaDB. But I'd like to know which Piwigo AI features I won't be able to use until I update.

Oh, the features that won't work with an older version of MariaDB/MySQL are the ones that require storing embeddings, such as face recognition and natural language search, for example.

It's just an "api_key" and an "account_id".

My Piwigo installation meets all requirements (Piwigo 16.3.0+, PHP 8+, compatible database).
