Req: Remote Version

I don't use Menalto Gallery, but I see there is a remote version, where you can add pictures to categories by dragging and dropping.  I have a lot of virtual categories in my gallery, and it would be much easier if I could drag-and-drop pictures locally, and then somehow apply the results online... like maybe if the remote program generates a SQL dump or something.  Is such a thing possible for PHPWebGallery?

No, no such remote version for PhpWebGallery. PhpWebGallery is a server side application and require the use of a FTP client application to upload files from your computer to your server.

You can find FTP client with drag n drop feature (try Filezila).

No, I don't have that in mind.  I already use a drag-and-drop FTP client.  That's not what I mean.  What I mean is, I want to be able to SORT the pictures locally.  Instead of having to look at them online and then use a dropdown menu to add a picture to a virtual category, it would be a lot easier and faster if I could open the file locally, and then drag it into a virtual category menu (locally), and then have that program generate a SQL dump.  Then I can upload my pictures, apply the SQL changes, and have a sorted gallery online, too.  You see?

Yes I think I see now... That's an interesting project, if you want to work on it :) I'll ask my brother what he did (I know he developped a client side program generating xml structured documents for image galleries, which could be useful)
