Hi,

I've created python script that remove not valid chars, rotate, resize and creates thumbnails on filesystem...then I've synchronized like 20k pictures. It took some time...its just fine...but one weird thing happened...

I have 2 main categories (LCs and konference)...where all pictures are.

But in gallery there is much more categories!! (Ive modified little bit names so it is not specific :)...How were these categories created?? I dont want them :))

During the synchronization process, each directory under "galleries" is considered as a category (with exceptions like "thumbnails", "pwg_representative", "pwg_high"). Read [Administration>Links>Instructions>Add photos, the FTP way] to understand the file organization under "galleries".

By the way, instead of creating a directory tree and then ask a synchronization in Piwigo administration, why didn't you do what pLoader do : communicate with Piwigo web API to create categories and add photos one by one? (no need to synchronize when you use the pwg.images.add method, see information on [wiki] pwg.images.add & pwg.images.addChunk)

As I said...physically there are just 2 categories under "galleries"...the rest of albums has appeared on "home page" of gallery I dont know why! :)

Ill check out piwigo web api..thats something i was looking for but obviously I've missed it;)

it really has to be some bug..because now..every synchronization process remove one of these "weird" categories :)..but I dont know how to specify conditions...and probably it was caused by my script..thought I dont know how that would be possible :). We shall see if thats repeat sometimes :)
