I want to use this string to add a banner that I use on my site, into the stop section of the gallery where this free TXT would be, instead or in addition to the txt, but using a URL instead of a photo ID.
When I enter the URL it says PHOTO ID instead and theres no banner image displayed.
I am putting a URL with http:// of the image jpg here instead of the xx.
Am I Doing this right, and do I need to edit the CFG files? I searched and didnt see this string.
Thanks again guys.

Insert an album or a photo
[photo id=xx]
This tag allows you to insert one photo of any size you want.

You are mixing different things
[photo] : a special tag handled by Extended Description
as explicitly stated in the plugin help, "xx" is a photo ID (not url) from your own gallery
[img] : an old tag of Extended Description
<img> : an HTML tag to display image
that's what you want
on the link flop25 gave you it's clearly < and > not [ and ], it's not the same thing
so read it again, the example is self-explaining

Actually its not as obvious as you might think. This is not second nature to me.
I got it now.
<img src=http://www.domain.com/banner.jpg>
This is what I needed.
A couple seconds of typing an example would go a long way on this forum to those that are not HTML programmers, vs posting a link to another website.
Thanks again.
