Hello,
during install I get the message: no connection to server
And the installation stops here.
Can anyone help me wit a suggestion.

Yes, indeed.
But I've found the cullprit.
MySQL socket was located at /opt/mysql/mysql.sock
And not /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock which is the usual spot.
After changing that in my.cnf and restarting MySQL all worked well.
