Hello/Hi/Greetings,
After upgrading my piwigo from 2.9.x to 2.10.0 I got
Fatal error: Uncaught --> Smarty: unable to write file ../piwigo/_data/templates_c/wrt5d9d9b191ee042_19048259 <-- thrown in ../piwigo/include/smarty/libs/sysplugins/smarty_internal_runtime_writefile.php on line 48

Does it mean a serious error? One more thing is that I can't use smartalbum addition. May this depend on that error?

Check that the individual path parts (directories) of piwigo/_data/templates_c/ each have traverse (x) permissions for the web server user, and that in piwigo/_data/templates_c/ it has write (w) permissions. And of course read (r) permissions everywhere ;-)

Hello;

I'm getting the same error, and I believe the permission for "template_c" are correct, 0755. I only seem to get it with the Modus theme when I select and individual photo.
