This MOD add a 'last news' frame on your PWG homepage and allow visitors
to see the last published news (in there language). Visitors can see every
published news in a specific page, clicking on the "News" summary item.

Admin users are allowed to add, remove and translate news in this specific page.

dowload this MOD here: http://download.gna.org/phpwebgallery/MOD/news/

have a look on my PWG demo website http://www.damienpitard.com/dpdev/phpwe … tegory.php

I would like to have feebacks and feature requests on this MOD.

Is there a way to just have the news section and not the flags on the front page?

Re: news MOD available for download

Hi,

The 'news' Mod does not add language flags to your PWG but multilanguage news ability.
Just follow the INSTALL directives in the package at  http://download.gna.org/phpwebgallery/MOD/news/

You can use the News MOD to publish news in only one language.

QLC (Quick Language Changer) which add language flags, is another MOD you can download at http://download.gna.org/phpwebgallery/MOD/QLC/

Note that, without QLC, unregistrered visitor will show the news in the default language whitout be able to change the current language.

Re: news MOD available for download

Hello guys!

I have a little problem with this module.
When I try to add a new "news" it deletes the older one.
Actually, when I add other news the same day, I can add more news.
But it seems that if I come another day, it deletes the older news (at least if there is only one news).
Could you check if you have the same problem in your demo website? As you have only one news that you added a long time ago, you might delete the older news when trying to add a new one. Actually when I click on "voir la suite" on your demo website, it does the same thing than in my website, shows nothing... I think it should show your news, even if there is only one, because now that I added 2 news, I can see the two in this page..
Hope I'm clear with my explanations, otherwise we can send emails to each other
If no problem, I probably made a mistake during installation...

Thank you

Re: news MOD available for download

i'm not sure to understand your bug but remember that in the "last news" full page, the only today news are displayed. To see older news, use the the date menu on top:

[ 1 2 3 10 30 365 derniers jours ] [ Accueil ]

ok it's not really user-friendly, i ll try to find a better way...

Re: news MOD available for download

Ok! Sorry I did not understood! I could find my previous news. But it's not so clear, and I think some users trying to see the news will get confused too. But when you read carefully yeah it's understandable
Thank you for the rapid answer ;-) and thank you for this very useful mod!
