With Piwigo, create an unlimited hierarchical structure of albums and sub-albums to store your files. You can classify the same file in several albums, without creating duplicates. Albums are displayed in the order that suits you, regardless of their name or creation date. Each album can be public or private, with access controlled through user permissions.

With Piwigo, invite an unlimited number of users to your photo library, and customize their permissions according to their needs. Administrators, contributors or simple viewers: you can manage different levels of access and customize permissions precisely: upload and download, access to albums… Permissions can be defined per user or group, depending on your organization.

Need to share a file or album with someone outside your organization? You can send them a download link by email, even if they don't have a user account on your photo library. This allows you to share content externally without opening access to your entire library.

Piwigo allows you to create beautiful public photo galleries, for photographers who want to exhibit their work, or for organizations who share their photo library on the internet. But your photo library can also be completely private, and accessible only to identified users. You can also mix the two approaches, with a private part and a public part: it's up to you! Piwigo Cloud is hosted in France on dedicated servers operated directly by the Piwigo team. We rely on OVH, one of Europe's leading cloud providers, while maintaining full control over the infrastructure. Your data is not shared with other customers at the infrastructure level.
For self-hosted deployments, you can install Piwigo on your own infrastructure or with a hosting provider of your choice, depending on your needs and constraints.

Your data is not meant to be publicly accessible, and Piwigo is designed to protect it accordingly.
We implement multiple security measures to protect Piwigo Cloud against unauthorized access. We are also committed to privacy: we do not use third-party cookies and fully comply with GDPR. Your data (photos, email addresses, IP addresses) is never sold, shared or reused outside of Piwigo.

With Piwigo Cloud, your data is backed up regularly and replicated on a standby server located in a separate data center. This ensures service continuity and minimizes the risk of data loss.
For self-hosted instances, you can implement your own backup and redundancy strategy based on your infrastructure. If needed, the Piwigo team can also handle setup, configuration and ongoing management, so you don't have to manage it yourself.
