Soon. There is not many new strings to translate I think. Let me see... only 15 new strings :-)

Piwigo 2.10 is compatible with PHP 5.3
I've used PIWIGO in the past and would love to do this beta but don't think that I can. The problem is that I'm stuck with PHP version 5.6 due to two other older packages I run. Trying to run the beta causes quite a few PHP timezone errors. I could edit out the lines that cause the errors as I did with a PIWIGO 2.9.x install but feel that editing the code on a beta would make my observations questionable.
Is there any work-a-round to have this beta work with PHP 5.6? I DO have a ticket in with my hosting to see if I can run different versions of PHP on different sub domains which, if possible, would solve the issue...
Hello,
is it possible to hide the photo description panel in the modus theme? It stays even when it's empty!
This is my only problem with otherwise great theme!
When can I translate the new version to Dutch?
Hi,
new installation piwigo and new installation database
Cordialy
K5
I tried just unzipping the beta over an existing install and that didn't work. Is there an upgrade path to test the beta version or is it only a clean install currently?
What are the installation instructions for upgrading an existing site for testing? Just unzip over the current install?
Dear Piwigo community,
Major changes are coming with this version 2.10 and we start now with a first beta. We've been focusing our efforts on design. Last summer you saw many mockups of the new administration. Now you can see some of these mockups implemented in this beta version. We need your help to test this beta version, give us some feedback. The more users will test it the more stable finale release will be :-)
Remember it is a beta version, meant to be used for test only. Do not use it on your production website.
1) Changes
Here is the list of changes compared to Piwigo 2.9. First the changes for users:
* modus as new default theme, with 8 new modern skins
* administration redesign: header/menubar/tabs (common on all pages), upload form, album manager, colored icons on dashboard
* [Batch Manager] progression for synchronize metadata
* use "Apply to sub-albums" checkbox also to set children to public
* [albums] turn album date display into a user interface option
... and then more "technical" changes:
* add trigger on group deletion
* add trigger on tag deletion
* [history] log admin actions (add/edit/delete on photo/album/tag/user/group), logins, logouts...
2) Screenshots
Modus is now the default theme, with 8 new skins. Here you can see the default skin "Newspaper" with a black and white colorscheme.
New overall design, with new header/menubar/tabs. Here you can see how the refreshed upload form behaves when no album is available yet.
Album manager refreshed, with big action buttons.
3) Start to beta test
Download Piwigo 2.10.0beta1
If you can't install it but want to test it, just ask and we will happily provide a testing installation.
Please, open a new topic in the beta testing forum for each problem you may encounter.
Happy beta-testing :-)
