Piwigo 15 changes the "add a new user" form: no more password requested, ability to immediately set status/privacy level/groups.

Piwigo 15 gest a redesigned popin to edit user. Several tabs. Simpler for plugins to interact.

Piwigo 15 will no longer send password by email. Instead the user will receive a link to set his password before first login. In case Piwigo would not be able to send the email (email is far from being 100% reliable), any administrateur can regenerate a password (re)set link, copy it and send it to the user in any reliable channel.

The yellow crown represents the main user. This was before managed by the local configuration setting "webmaster_id". It is now manageable with the user interface. Only a webmaster can be elected as main user.

You can sort the list of users by username or registration date. In ascending or descending order. With just a click.

Piwigo 15 will automatically open your web browser PDF reader, embed within the page. Works on Modus and Bootstrap Darkroom themes for now.

At Piwigo, we don't know much about our users. We have no exact idea of how many Piwigo are installed. We have some evidences you are over 100k, but that could be far more. We don't know if you have many users or only use it for yourself. We don't know if it's for 100 photos or 100k photos. Having this kind of data would help us to take design/development decisions.

We don't want to know anything private. We don't even know the link to your Piwigo. We just want general statistics. Details of what is shared is provided in the Github issue. You can deactivate this feature, but we hope you won't, because you can see our code and trust us.

Will the upcoming version of Piwigo incorporate data encryption capabilities? Given the sensitive nature of photographic data, it is imperative to safeguard it from unauthorized access, particularly by device administrators.

I have been trying, forever, to set up Piwigo on my macOS M1. I CANNOT get to this step: Before you can install Piwigo, you need to configure the database. Here's how:

Open your web browser and go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin

I always get:

404 Not Found

The requested URL was not found on this server.

Not even the ChatGPT that I am using, seems to know how to help me. It might be going a year or two since I have been trying, but with NO success.

Is there any support?

, no traction with devs unfortunately. With AWS/EC2 now charging for IPv4 use, and most ISPs globally supporting v6, it is a bit sad that piwigo infrastructure does not support ipv6-only use cases.

From my tests in an IPv6-only server with piwigo deployed, everything works well in piwigo minus the SW version and SW upgrade flows (main app and plugins). Even the wordpress integration works well.
So hopefully the fixes needed to support ipv6-only are low complexity.

As was explained to you before, Piwigo is not a Mac App.
Piwigo will run on any PHP capable web server. It does not care who made the hardware.
Please keep your installation question in the other two topics you created, not in the Announcement section.

One thing I would like to see are clickable location fields (eg: town, state/province, country), which display if populated, to then bring up any other photos at a given location.

I really like the new `single mode` batch mode, it makes tagging a lot simpler!

I would like to see a `Delete` button here as my work flow imports the photos into piwigo from my phone that I tag at a later time. So not everything is going to end up permanently in piwigo. I tag mostly through my phone in the mobile app anyway while watching tv but find myself thinking tagging through the Web UI might be easier. I tend to prefer the mobile app as I can select multiple photos and bulk tag a single keyword in a monthly album setup.

For anyone with a [Github] docker-piwigo file Dockerfile setup I was able to get my setup running on v15 by restoring my primary piwigo backup to another container and hacking their Dockerfile to download and unzip the Beta zip. You have to rebuild the symlinks to `/app/www/public/galleries` instead of `/gallery/galleries`.
