TO wait until it is implemented in PWG I wrote a plugin to have a "soft" update of metadata.

Allows "light" synchronization from EXIF (without overwriting existing data in DB).

Hello,
I just tested version 2.0RC4 and data in the DB are no more erased when upgrading information for images without EXIF data. Thus, this plugin will not be maintained anymore.
