[Theme] Sylvia

Hover/Active categories:

My last commit contains some *.gif files. That was the previous solution.

I will update them again.
I had a problem with this kind of concept to build a hover solution.

Since the commit, I understood how I can do the active/hover category view.
So I will change these *.gif and the related CSS.
Nevertheless I didn't check Sylvia against several browsers.

If you have already remarks on the INDEX.php page, please post them.
Thanks.

Re: [Theme] Sylvia

The hover/active category issue has been solved with last commit.

It remains:

- The optional right break in the upper line (should be solved in next commit).
- The category name is not above the border line.

More about this last point:
That's a strong challenge. I don't want to change the template because the impact on other themes will be strong.
Description has overflow hidden and category name (h3) is within the description, so each time I try to move h3 outside of description catname disappears.
If I remove hidden overflow description can raise an unexpected scrollbar.

Part of code:

Code:

.description {overflow: hidden;}
.h3 {
display: block; margin: 8px 2px; background-color: #111;
position: relative; top: -15px; left: -150px; z-index: 99; overflow: visible; }

For those who have access:
Sylvia index page model

Any idea?

Re: [Theme] Sylvia

Sylvia is intended to replace one of previous distributed themes.
The replaced theme will be distributed thru extension for one release at least.

The question is which theme will be remove from the official zip.
clear? dark? p0w0? or wipi?

(IMO, Sylvia will replace p0w0).

What is your point?

Re: [Theme] Sylvia

Is it possible to enlarge cat_bottom-right.gif and cat_top-right.gif?
Extended description can display categories in descriptions... and display it with a 100% width.
So, for large screen, I need this 2 images to be 200px larger.

I try to do it mmyself with Paint Shop Pro, but I don't understand how transparency work.

EDIT: It's OK, I have modify the picture.
Vincent, is it a problem if the width of this 2 images is 1200px (instead of 1000px)?

Cool... if you want, we can go to 1500px...
It will usefull for users who want  one category per line.

Send it to me by mail, I want to test it before with Extended Description...
I will commit them.

Re: [Theme] Sylvia

SVN:2674 is only *.tpl
Are you sure to have modified cat_bottom-right.gif and cat_top-right.gif ?

FF3 and Ctrl+-

You have a large screen on comments.php do CTRL+- several times.
And try to give a sufficient size to those gif >> more than 1200px.

Thanks.

Re: [Theme] Sylvia

I don't have your resolution.

File weight must be reasonable.
But you can test with 2000px could be sufficient or maybe not?

You can tell us, not me.
