Time has come for a new stable release :-) Release 1.4.0 announces the
beginning of branch 1.4. Branch 1.4 comes 1 year and a half after branch
1.3.

New features list :

- HTML template redesigned : respects Web standards better.

- manage any kind of file types, not only pictures

- new special categories : random pictures, new categories, best rated,
  calendar

- advanced search tool : search on dates, in a subset of categories,
  etc.

- EXIF and IPTC metadata support

- new frontend for remote sites

- ability to provide a big size picture

- display of categories linked to the element (an element can still
  belong to several categories)

- global management of categories options (commentable, uploadable,
  lock, private/public)

- ability to perform a simulation before synchronization between
  directories and database before validating

- gallery lock

- simplification of upgrades from previous releases

- many optimizations
