What does the envelope icon do?
In the albums panel, in the side bar, the album names have an envelope icon next to them. I click on the envelope and nothing happens. Is something meant to happen?

How long does the new album icon stay there for? Can I adjust the time at which it stops showing an album as being new?

The quickest fix (for me) was to edit the image in the gimp. I selected the whole canvas and hit delete. This removes the contents of the pixels, leaving the transparent alpha channel.
