Link to original version of image?

Does anyone know how I can provide a link to the original version of the image? I don't mean a download link - I mean a link to the original size image which just opens in the browser, rather than downloads to the desktop?

Thank you.

Hello
you can do a right click and copy the image url, or remove the "&download" of the download link

Re: Link to original version of image?

Thanks. This is the code I currently have. I don't see a bit saying "&download"

Code:

<a href="{$current.U_DOWNLOAD}" title="{'Download this file'|@translate}" class="pwg-state-default pwg-button" rel="nofollow">
    <span class="pwg-icon pwg-icon-save"> </span><span class="pwg-button-text">{'Download'|@translate}</span>
  </a>

This is in the default theme. Do you know how I would change it so it just opens the original image?

Re: Link to original version of image?

Sorry I misunderstood you
First, do you know there is an icon to change the curent size diplayed, so the suer can switch to the original one?
If you really need you can use {$U_ORIGINAL} in the template file (set a custom template extension using Localfiles Editor -well, there is currently a bug which will be fixed in 2.5.1- )

Re: Link to original version of image?

Only just had the chance to reply to this - sorry for the delay.

Here is a link to a photo in my gallery: http://www.rachael-stirling.com/gallery … ategory/35

I'm not sure I really understand what you mean with your reply. Basically, all I want is for the download link to not actually download the file to your PC, but to open up the full-size image in the browser... does that make sense? Sorry if I'm not explaining it properly...

Check out how this is done in provided themes (first icon in the toolbar - photo sizes then choose original). You can do the same in your theme ...
