yes; you can set in the local config guest_access to false, so visitors not registers will get the identification page instead of an empty home page

I searched the piwigo directory for 'guest_access'

Results;

include/config_default.inc.php:$conf['guest_access'] = true;
include/functions_user.inc.php:        ($conf['guest_access'] ? ACCESS_GUEST : ACCESS_FREE);

I tried changing the file include/config_default.inc.php
From: true
To    : false

It denied access without a login, but my objective is to display the 1st page as it would
be seen as a guest, but no allow any viewing of sub level images.

Could you please advise.
