Thanks a bunch! The free textures / images gallery.

Hello/Hi/Greetings,

I've searched for a script to make a website featuring free textures and photo's to help people find resources for their creative tasks. At the moment, all of the images will be created by me so that I can release them freely without having to consider pre-existing copyright and verify content sources. It has a few images already, but over time it should grow.

I'm using the awesome bootstrap default theme, many thanks to the author!

Please feel free to check out the current gallery below:

Piwigo URL: https://www.photofree.ga
Piwigo version: 2.7.4
PHP version: 5.4.40
MySQL version: 5.5.45
Graphics Library: ImageMagick 6.7.2-7

Especially if any of you use textures or images in your work (for now there are only textures), any feedback is welcome.

Could you tell me which browser you are using just for the record?

Thanks a bunch!

P.S. I've temporarily disabled the force HTTPS rule, so you should be able to access now over standard HTTP and bypass any SSL issues: (http://www.photofree.ga)

I've personally tried using Firefox, Chrome, and IE 11 on Windows and they all worked well with HTTPS.

that's behind a firewall
doing a quick search on the web shows that the issue is documented
the https force rule is still in action; did you restart the server?

It's not redirecting me to HTTPS anymore (http://www.photofree.ga/) and I've cleared all of the cache just in case. You shouldn't need to, and it shouldn't be related, but if it's still not working, maybe you could try to also clear browser cache.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Naturally, I'm happy that we think alike on the free photo idea. Many of mine are still taken with a -//:---\spam (although I'm very happy with the quality for cell-phone standards), but images should improve after I solve the problem with lenses on my DSLR (they are expensive, but... you never know what kind of deals can be found).

Woops I wanted to say Smartphone as c e l l p h o n e (two words) on the part that shows for some reason as "spam", just for the record.

Very good. :)
It's difficult to say, as that depends on the particular use. For example, if the textures are to be used on 3D models (games, animations, etc.) then they should be tiled (meaning that they can repeat along at least one axis, or both axes in case of generic things like sand particles). Other than that, I'd say that standard rules apply, if it looks good, it probably is good. :)
