Unable to upload images after upgrade or clean install

Hello/Hi/Greetings,

I am a big fan of Piwigo and have been using it for several years.

After upgrading to version 2.8.1, I get a yellow triangle (http error) after each photo I try to upload in administration.   I created new installation and received the same error when uploading photos.  I also tried deactivating all plugins.

Any ideas on what to try next would be greatly appreciated.

Piwigo version: 2.8.1
PHP version: 5.3.29
MySQL version: 5.5.32-cll-lve

Re: Unable to upload images after upgrade or clean install

I had read that article.  I have been using Piwigo for years and understand what it says, but it does not appear to apply to this situation.  This problem started with this release.  The yellow triangle says "http error".

Re: Unable to upload images after upgrade or clean install

well I browsed your gallery and don't see any problem https://howeimages.com/gallery/index.php?/recent_pics
so either you do a better debug or you give us a link to the problem

Re: Unable to upload images after upgrade or clean install

Thank you for your help.

The images you browsed were uploaded before the update.  The trouble I am having is the the web form.  Tonight I was able to successfully upload using pLoader, so I created an album called debug and loaded 3 images.

https://howeimages.com/gallery/index.php?/category/133

capture1 shows the files before I press the "start upload" button.
capture2 shows the yellow triangles appearing on the far right during upload.
capture3 is the screen that pops up during the last upload, and gets stuck.

If I have to live with pLoader, I guess I am ok.

Any suggestions on what might cause the yellow triangle - http error and web form upload failure would be appreciated.

Re: Unable to upload images after upgrade or clean install

ah ok the triangle is on the upload page. So to debug such issue the best would be to check your server logs and also on your web browser by using the developer/debug console (F12) on the Network tab

Re: Unable to upload images after upgrade or clean install

It looks like I am getting a 403 error for each file.

When you are installing new extensions is it from your web admin panel ou do you upload the files by FTP?

Re: Unable to upload images after upgrade or clean install

Hello and thanx first of all for the incredible Piwigo gallery!

I have the same issue after the update that the upload gets stuck in the screen after the last file uploaded.
Nothing gets uploaded anymore!
I really love Piwigo and would love to continue using it, but I can't find a way to upload images to my gallery.
I reinstalled it and put a php.ini into the piwigo directory since I was getting the "In your php.ini file, the upload_max_filesize (128MB) is bigger than post_max_size (32MB), you should change this setting" error which reads like this:
"safe_mode=OFF
disable_functions=NONE
memory_limit = 64M
upload_max_filesize = 64M
post_max_size = 64M
date.timezone = Europe/Athens
file_uploads = On
max_execution_time = 300"

The pLoader does not work under OSX 10.11.5 so I can't try that out, either.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance

Re: Unable to upload images after upgrade or clean install

You asked -- When you are installing new extensions is it from your web admin panel ou do you upload the files by FTP?

My response --  Web admin panel is where I am getting the errors.

Your response -- @howest you didn't answer my last question

I am trying to be clear.   Let me recap.   Until the latest update, I always used the web admin panel to upload images.  I have never used FTP to upload images.   After the update I started getting "403" errors using the web admin panel to upload images.   I then switched over to using ploader, and it works fine.

Perhaps I didnt understand the question, but that is my best answer.
