So have you tried to install a plugin or theme for the web admin panel -I'm not speaking of uploading pictures-?

I changed the theme without any issue. Installing plugins worked fine too.

It's probably time to ask to your hoster if you are in the same case of [Forum, post 163563 by antigone in topic 26634] Can't upload any images after update to 2.8.1, gets stuck uploading
