paid customisation

Hi

I'm hope this is the correct forum.

I am looking for someone who is completely au fait with Piwigo and could do 3 or 4 little customisations for my Piwigo site.

Yes, perhaps they are things I could do myself, if I trawled though all the documentation, but I'm pretty busy with a number of websites on the go, so I'm happy to pay someone a reasonable/realistic amount to do the little tweaks for me.

Just a heads up, my site is adult themed. I'm not talking here about hard core porn, just a little 'risque' by nature,  so if that puts you off, don't 'apply'

Look forward to hearing from anyone who would like to earn a few quid, doing some tweaks for me.

Cheers
Steve

Re: paid customisation

maybe you could say a bit more about what you need to help people decide if they can help

Re: paid customisation

well it's smallish things, like adding a couple of banner spaces into the bootstrap darkroom theme, removing EXIF Metadata displaying with pictures... and maybe editing the sites menu.

Nothing particularly difficult I would imagine for someone who knows the software pretty well.

Re: paid customisation

configurations > options > display
Activate icon "Show file metadata"

I believe Bootstrap has a built in option for banners

For anything else perhaps you could provide a mockup showing exactly what you need.

Re: paid customisation

is there a way to stop this displaying altogether on the photo page?   ( I have 'Show file metadata'  unticked)

Re: paid customisation

You can try to add this in the local files editor:
$conf['show_exif'] = false;

This should suppress the display of the exif data.
What it not does is hiding the button "show exif" as this is part of the darkroom template.

To get rid of the whole block with the metadata,Add the following to the local files editor (CSS Tab):
#card-metadata{display:none;}

This will suppress the display of the whole metadata block.

Re: paid customisation

I've noticed with the new bootstrap darkroom theme, that if you view the site in a mobile device, it reverts to the 'view in mobile' version, even though the theme is designed I think to be completely responsive, so in theory it shouldn't need to use the  'viewed in mobile'  version.

if that makes sense.

just wondered why that is happening

Re: paid customisation

you actually have to click on 'view in desktop' at the bottom of page, to get it to then display in the nice responsive bootstrap darkroom theme

Re: paid customisation

Disable Smart Pocket theme and bootstrap will be the default view on mobile devices.

Re: paid customisation

thanks for all your great help!

another quickie -  I have the site installed in a directory called 'selfpictures', however I noticed you need to add on index.php onto the path to be able to view it. ie -  selfpictures/index.php

Not sure how I ended up with it set this way,  however how can I fix this so that going to the folder is enough to view the site? (without adding /index.php onto the URL path?

thanks!

Re: paid customisation

This mightt be an issue with the .htaccess file and a wrong rewrite drective.

check if you have this in the .htaccess file in the root directory of your piwigo installation:
RewriteBase /
