"binary comment" as caption under newly uploaded photos

I did upload a few photos from the "shotwell" app on my linux computer to my piwigo album. Now there's "binary comment" caption under each photo. Is there a way to remove or hide those captions? Why are those generated? Any ideas?

Piwigo version 11.3.0
Shotwell version 0.30.11
Theme: modus/ Newspaper

What "binary comment"? Example link to picture?

Re: "binary comment" as caption under newly uploaded photos

Seems to come from exif metadata from my camera:
...
Exif.Photo.UserComment                    binary comment
...
Xmp.acdsee.notes                             binary comment
...

Can I hide those captions on the photo page?

Rather find out if it is really a binary comment and if so if or why the Shotwell software adds it or if it's the camera, or if it's just a little garbled and why. That's why I asked for a link to the picture page, not some screenshot. At worst remove the fields using exiftool before uploading.
