Need update php8
Hi dev and all the members
more and more web hosts are starting to switch to php 8 so it would really be necessary to get support for php8.
I know the issue has been up and that thread died pretty quickly. But the problem remains. Now my web hotel also switches to php8 so it feels boring to either change hotels just for one program or stop using programs to keep the hotel.
Would appreciate if you at least looked at it as a problem and look at it anyway. to also try to get support for php8

Agreed. I find it compelling that developers are so slow making their software compatible with the CURRENT version of PHP. That makes it hard for people to actually do the switch, and we have to resort to multiple PHP versions to keep things going.

no need to be rude. There is number of fixes already in Git, but not integrated.
Could someone put it in master so "we" dont have to deal with things already fixed.
That would be a start.
And majority of piwigo users are not programmers, but still do use hosting provides who recommend P8 already if not making it default by now.
