With all due respect and admiration for your work on Piwigo - there are more of those requests for modern format support here on the forum. But they are either ignored or rejected.

I'm not a programmer and I don't know PHP either, so my biggest contribution may be an idea. An idea that you might not have thought of. And yes, the decision whether or not the idea will be added to the gallery is up to you.
