Multiple Image Size Cache Management

Hello/Hi/Greetings,

I have Piwigo using a share for pictures in read-only mode for my root folder. After adding pictures to the folder that is shared I will run the batch manager to generate the multiple image size cache. There are times that I will rename or move a folder in that share and update Piwigo by running a synchronise (thus adding the 'new' photos and removing the 'missing' ones). I then run the batch mode generate multiple image sizes again on the latest import (or sometimes on the whole collection) to generate the new cache.

My question is this, does the generated image size cache for the previous location get deleted when a synchronise sees that the folder and pictures are no longer there, or do I need to run another command to clean out the orphaned cache files?

I have done the 'Delete Multiple Image Sizes' using batch mode under a folder that had changed and that seemed to be instant. So I was wondering if it was doing something, or if it was automatically done with a prior synchronise. I was also thinking of running that command on my whole collection which includes another root directory for a family member who uses the upload feature (and thus their pictures could be accidentally deleted by Piwigo). I was very nervous it would actually delete their pictures and not just the cache, so I was hesitant.
