Yes but the category and the pictures ordering not same as in the gallery? Different? :( But this is also problem but I think the two things are same but not! So I have two similar problem :) one with the category name and one with the picture name but the second is good I think! So there is the category problem. But I look for in the default file but I don't find any option for this. In the v1.6 will be it?

Anyway I am a boy :P so He :P
I try the v1.6 a new site(free) and that is not ordered the category by alphabetic. Is there any mod for this problem? Or anything what help me it? It won't be so hard to do who can work with php.(I can't but I understand if I think about) I think that it is not my problem only, there are or will be more people who want to use this function.

The answer from mathiasm about automatic alphabetical sort available in 1.6 is correct but 1.6 is currently in beta.
I nether think people find an interrest in alphabetic order for categories, but only per descending order on interrest centre.

:) I forgot.
So the beta don't contain this function but the finished version will be? Or not? I saw some example on the config file and try them it works good beut that is opnly pictures. You found a people who interested in alphabetic order for categories :D Will be this option in the future? Please help me because I'm run out of time :) I have 4 days to repair my gallery because after the page will be work again! The finis version will be cntain more options than the beta? I'm waiting the v1.6 very much!!!! :D

1.6.0RC1 is working with few bugs.
Nethertheless, the migration process from a release candidate to a final version isn't described somewhere.
Usualy, there is no Database modification and files are changed.

in 1.6RC1, Administration>Categories>Manage. At the end of the list, you get a button "sort alphabetically", that does the reordering for you.

Override files except include/mysql.inc.php
(make a full save of all files before).
