Dear beta-testers,

Here comes Piwigo 2.3.0RC2, a new Release Candidate, which brings bug fixes compared to 2.3.0RC1.  This version is for test only, don't install it on your live website.

If you don't know yet all the new stuff Piwigo 2.3 brings, read the previous announcements:

Let's have a little more details about this last change. This is an important change. Since Piwigo 2.1 (may 2010), Piwigo has an experimental support for PostgreSQL and SQLite. In practice, some bugs are reported on SQLite/PostgreSQL and are not fixed, this support brings additional constraints for coding and nearly no plugin using database is compatible with Pg/SQLite. People interested in Piwigo for Pg/SQLite support are disappointed because the feature is buggy and incomplete. Consequently we have decided to remove support for PostgreSQL and SQLite and focus on MySQL. More details and discussions can be found on topic:18008

Please, try to open a new topic in the beta testing forum for each problem you may encounter.

If you can not install this test release, do not hesitate to ask: we will provide you a "ready to use" test environment.

Have a nice time while discovering Piwigo 2.3 new features!
