Static Home page with Pitcure

Hi

Well just come from Jalbum to Piwigo and have been blown away by it :-)

Newbie question, I have searched but cannot find a beginners guide to make the home page the same all the time with a static picture. I have searched the forum and found that the answers were either too techy or just didn't understand them.

I have setup my first site at jchall.com (pic attached) this is currently empty until I find the way to secure it by login only so feel free to view a BASIC site with nothing in it!!

Can anyone point me in the right direction to some posts so I can make this happen?

Regards

Piwigo version: 2.9.1
PHP version: 7.0.22
MySQL version: 14.14
Piwigo URL: http://jchall.com

Re: Static Home page with Pitcure

Take a look at the "Additional Pages" and "Extended Description" Plugins.
The first one lets you define a home page, the latter provides a simple tag syntax to add one certain picture to it.

Cheers teekay

Downloaded the plugin and unzipped it but not sure were to upload it to my site or activate it? Is there like a newbies guide to doing such things or do I have to just work a bit harder?

Re: Static Home page with Pitcure

Just use the plugin manager in Administration -> Plugins -> Manage

A good starting point for newbies is Administration -> Plugins -> Take a Tour. Check the list of topics and start a tour - it does help a lot.
