Hey hi hello,
I have piwigo on my RPi3. everything is working despite of sending e-mails. there is just red box with information, that it was error during sending. Where can I fing some kind of log and details of this error?
I am checking this on form of forgotten password. I configured smtp in local with ssl authorization on port 465. I saw, when I use instead of ssl - null it takes a lot of time (authorization required) but I have no idea where is the problem and how to check it. I read about fsockopen etc. Few topics here, but there is no solution at the end. I forwarded 465 and 25 port even (i don't see any sense). I am not so strong in PHP etc. to understand topic. I would be very grateful for help and would be the best to find solution :)

I spent a bit more time for this. Conclusion: I tried another free servers (I tried to avoid my gmail) and all of them are blocking RPi. On Gmail (I used another account finally) I had to confirm using account by unknown scripts and then I got clear message that it was blocked but if I am sure I can accept this. After this, everything is working.
Maybe it will be helpful for future.
There were no topics with ports, php configuration etc (in piwigo is phpmailer included), so just use gmail with ssl and configure in gmail preferences.
