Hello/Hi/Greetings,
Is there a way to manually specify the thumbnail crop?
They are all coming out as a square from the dead center of the image. For some cases, that's fine, but others the top would be better.
This is particularly true of full length shots of people. The standard crop leaves you looking at just a torso.
An online search, and a check of the forums came up blank.
You can see examples on the main page here:

Thanks,

Thank you. I don't know how I didn't see that. Even after you told me, I had to go through the page three times before I noticed it.

Sadly, it doesn't work.
I set a center of interest on a photo.
Then Admin->Photos->Batch Manager. Find the image(s)
Delete Multiple Size Images/All
At this point, my select screen refreshes and a new icon is displayed the way I wanted.
Yay, er but no.
Visit Site. The image I changed is actually the thumbnail for an album set. All the other images show up but there is a dramatic pause on this one. Obviously it's being generated. And then, ta da! It shows up as the old center crop.

Hello !
The crop function does not work when using the Bootstrap Darkroom Theme. That is one of the reasons I use Modus now.

That's been added in the new Piwigo 12 beta.

Katryne - Thanks for the confirmation. I had worked myself to that conclusion and reported to the maintainer.
