Hello everyone,
I have been working on a plug-in to allow publishing photos from Lightroom directly to a Piwigo hosting service. I have been working on this project for a while, and slowly but surely it reached the state where the major part of the functionality is in place and now it's time to test it in various environments.
If you are interested in beta testing the plug-in, you can download the latest copy here: http://alloyphoto.com/plugins/piwigo/.
Please use this forum to discuss issues, post questions and make suggestions.
I appreciate your participation!
requirements:
* Piwigo 2.1.5
* install + activate [extension by plg] pwg.images.addSimple

Hello,
I am testing your plugin very promising for Lightroom but I encounter difficulties.
In the service of publication “Piwigo” I start by creating a “Album set” of the name “Export from LR”. In this “Album set” I create two albums.
- test 1
- test 2
I do not place any photographs for the moment.
In my Piwigo gallery I make “private” the album “Export from LR”.
In Lightroom, I place my photographs to be published and I publish the unit.
The operation ends in an error message, only it first under-album is complete with its photographs.
The other under-album is not filled.
When I start again to send of another photographs, I always have an error message and my albums multiply!
Thank you for your assistance and I am sorry for the bad English who I am.

If you receive errors, please submit your debug log.
The general rule of thumb, keep the "Enable debug logging" option selected, and hit "Submit Debug Log" as soon as you get any errors or unexpected behavior. This way I can see what's happening under the hood and spend less time on trying to reproduce the error.
The debug log thing is explained in detail here: http://alloyphoto.com/plugins/support-a … eshooting/
Thanks!

Build #202 fixes the issue with failure to re-publish an already published photo.
The update is posted at http://alloyphoto.com/plugins/piwigo/
Here is an interesting detail... If you are using a standalone Piwigo installation, you need to install and activate the "pwg.images.addSimple" plugin, otherwise the upload won't work.

Hey Gotcha,
Could you e-mail me, so I have your e-mail address.
The one you are using when submitting debug logs doesn't appear to be working, I am getting failures when trying to e-mail you.
And regarding the last error, could you also send me a screenshot of the error? For some reason there
are no errors in the debug log.
Thanks!

Hey,
first of all... this is the Plugin i was waiting for :-)
I had no problems to setup the plugin via the plugin manager.
Entering connection details and connect to piwigo was successful.
when i try to upload an image to the Folder "Album" it will be rejected with the error below.
working:
- Create categories
- Delete categories
- comment for category
- Rename and change comment
System details:
Mac OS X 10.6.4
Lightroom 3.2
Cheers,
polly
EDIT: Changed to the new build 213 and new installed piwigo 2.1.5, i get "Error code501 Method name is not valid"

Hi,
I'm testing too your plugin and for now I haven't any particular problem (install & configuration).
Next step : upload pictures on my gallery from LR ;)
thanks a lot

The "Method name is not valid" error may appear because the plug-in uses the pwg.images.addSimple method from the Piwigo API, which is not available by default. There is an extension that needs to be installed and activated. Here is the link: [extension by plg] pwg.images.addSimple

Same pbm here :s
- plugin configuration = OK
--> File = Album
--> drag and drop pictures into Album = ok
--> right click on ... "Publish now"
==> "Error code501 Method name is not valid"
EDIT : First pbm is resolved (error code501) ;)
I've Pbm too with Eport window
I Can't choose the plugin name from the Export To drop-down list. 'I've just "Hard disk and CD/DVD"
- no piwigo (enable)
Any idea ?
thanks ;)

Installing the pwg.images.addSimple extension worked for me...
1. Download, install and activate the plugin should do the trick.
2. to get the uploaded Images resized Vladimir adviced me to do the following: open the [Administration > Photos > Add] screen at least once - this action will set default values for these parameters and you will be able to proceed.
btw: i tried to upload images to a different piwigo installation, no Problems! Looks like the timezone error in php causing some trouble.
cheers

Yes, that's the current workaround. I have to fix that.

Don't you also have the timezone warning when browsing your Piwigo gallery with your web browser?
