[resolved] White Stripped and Columns -- A Child theme to Stripped and Columns

Hi, for anyone's use, enjoyment or critique.

Hi, for anyone's use and enjoyment on a piwigo gallery.

I whacked away at flop25's marvelous "Stripped & Columns" to get to this.

Prerequisites:
Install "Stripped", configuration settings here have the same effect as if you were
going to use the original "Stripped and Columns". Set the "Stripped" configuration to
         the white variant.
Install "Stripped & Columns", configuration settings here have the same effect as if
you were going to use the original "Stripped and Columns". I set the "not gray" color to the color-negative (19AAB0) of the original setting.

All files in the img directory are negatives of the ones from Stripped.

Have fun!

If you think it's worth adding to the theme repository, can one of you point me to the instructions? I figured out how to add an extension, but I don't know the organization's rules for proper Subversion parameters. Thanks.

Re: [resolved] White Stripped and Columns -- A Child theme to Stripped and Columns

My review ^^ :

-you removed the CSS to capitalize, so now the text seems a bit too small
-you changed the limitation : portrait images are limited in height. Not so bad ^^ it could be an option in S&C
-managing panoramas is perfect. I will add that!
-you even took into account my last revision ^^
-the screenshoot need to be a png, but there is no dimension limitations

So it's a very good and impressive child theme

About the publication :
-what OS do you use ?
-I could integer your changes in the tpl, and an option for portrait, so finally WS&C will have only the theme.css. It would be easier for you to maintain

Re: [resolved] White Stripped and Columns -- A Child theme to Stripped and Columns

Hi flop25: Thanks for review.

I agree that font's a little too small. Even when it was all uppercase my acquaintances complained -- we're all getting old. :)  I'll fool with that later.

I removed the width limitation because I didn't want to change all  the original code further to create a third variant of the .bloc classes so that panoramas would show triple-wide. With the limitation in place they remained ony same as .bloc_big = double-wide.

I figured out publication, the only advice I'm requesting is whether i need to include any specifc readme or descript.ion files or header information in the configuration file.

Thx.

Hi
it's me again ^^

What is :

Code:

 /* No Thumb France CSS ------------------------------------------------------------------------- */
.naf

?

I've updated S&C with your changes and improvement. I've made some more improvements :

About description etc it's ok : just a screenshot in png
As I changed the theme.css I will send you back my version of WS&C CSS. Email me so I get your mail.
So no need to tpl files in the SVN deposit ;)

Re: [resolved] White Stripped and Columns -- A Child theme to Stripped and Columns

Hello again. Thanks for e-mail files. Installing TortoiseSVN now.

.naf definitions are in the original-theme.css of them Stripped. Since my theme.css is a reduction of stripped + stripped_black_block, I kept all the section headings.

'til later...

Since you defined your theme as child of S&W, itself child theme of S&W, all these theme will be loaded (themeconfig.php and theme.css)
So you just need to defined your attributes which will overwrite the previous one, like color: background: etc

Did that. What I kept from the original css files are all the comments, section descriptions.

Updated the link and description in first post on this thread. Stylesheet still needs tweaking for better legibility.

I must be missing something simple, but how do I stop the filename from appearing on the Thumbnails?
