ploader - unable to login

Hi,

I wanted to try pLoader. I've installed piwigo on debian server.  Apache is listeing just on https and authorization to piwigo is set to apache auth.

But login to https gallery fails...->Can't locate object method "new" via package "LWP::Protocol::https::Socket"
Ive tried to install several perl plugins and debian packages..but oviously with no success..

So i turned off https temporarily. Only to get :
Authorization Required

Connection to http://hostname.tld/gallery failed

I even turned off apache authentization..

Please what am i doing wrongly...?

thanks
worwan

Hi worwan,

I think this is the most common use case :-) No problem so far.

Here comes the problems. pLoader has never been tested against HTTPS and no more with the apache authentication parameter on Piwigo. I would appreciate if you could create 2 bug notification in the bugtracker.

If I read your post well, you have turned off HTTPS and Apache authentication (this it not the case when I clicked on the URL 1 minute ago and it still doesn't work, am I right? (obviously in such a standard environment it should work like a charm)

You told us about server side (Debian), but what about client side? Currently, pLoader is compatible with Ubuntu >8.04. It may work with Debian Lenny (even so I haven't checked, it's a matted of library versions)

Re: ploader - unable to login

as for the rest..problem was of course that i have disabled apache auth in piwigo..but apache still required login to gallery url.....;)

without it..it works as you said..like a charm :)

I've filled issues for apache auth and https problems
