Hi,
Not only the rating system is gone, also thumbnails are misplaced in Internet Explorer 8.
I have just placed a fotocontest online. I need help quickly.
Thanks, Ton

We solved that... But I presume Micros...t has fallen back its code.
And we have to change again.
I will look if I am right and I come back.

./template/yoga/header.tpl (or your template-extension need to be corrected)
You have:
<!--[if gt IE 6]> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="{$ROOT_URL}template/{$themeconf.template}/fix-ie7.css"> <![endif]-->
You should have
<!--[if IE 7]> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="{$ROOT_URL}template/{$themeconf.template}/fix-ie7.css"> <![endif]-->
See Piwigo 2.0.2 current code there:

Dommage,
The stars of the ranking system are still missing after code change.
Thumbnails are correct now.
Still hoping for the good,
Ton.

Hi,
Workaround for missing Stars in rating system:
Menubar
- Extra
- - Mark Compatibility View
greetings,
Ton.

My thumbnails are also misplaced in IE8, and when I want to add captions, tags etc to a picture, the list of available tags disappears off the right-hand edge of the screen. (I'm using PHPWebGallery 1.7.) I think you've dealt with the misplaced thumbnails issue, but I can't see the answer, so please post it again. HowardCSJ

OK - since posting my query about misplaced thumbnails and tags disappearing off the edge of the screen, IE8 itself has suggested that I switch to Compatibility view, which has solved both problems! But is there anything I can do within PHPWebgallery/Piwigo so that th epronblem doesn't arise in the first place? HowardCSJ

Did you read [Forum, post 107598 by VDigital in topic 15158] Rating system and thumbnail problem in IE8 in the current topic?
You have the same issue on thumbnails in PhpWebgallery and the solution is similar except you don't have a template-extension.
About rating, that is strange because rating is really new in Piwigo.
A Bug is open [Bugtracker] ticket 1029.
