Wordpress integration problems...

Hi!

I'm having some trouble trying to integrate the user table from wordpress into my newly installed gallery.

The problem is that when I try to log in to the gallery it just says invalid password. But if I create a new user in the gallery that user and that users password is valid for loging in to wordpress (and the also integrated bbpress installation).

How can that be?! Either all or no users should be integrated?

How come only users registerd from within the gallery work in all three applications while old users registered in bbpress and wordpress can't log in to the gallery...

Thanks for any help regarding this...

Re: Wordpress integration problems...

PhpWebGallery user passwords are stored as hexadecimal MD5, ie 32 characters. It is possible that WordPress (and BBPress) are compatible with MD5 passwords but generate by default a SHA-1 password (40 characters). And PhpWebGallery is not compatible with SHA-1.

Which version of WordPress are you using?

(such an integration is very interesting to us, integration with WordPress is one of the big project once Piwigo 2.0.0 is released)

Re: Wordpress integration problems...

Hi Zorglub
when the go live for Piwigo 2.0.0 is expected?
And when the integration with Wordpress 2.7 is expected?

I user now PWG 1.6 and WP 2.2, integrated with Photon, but I didn't manage to migrate in WP 2.7 ....  So I'm waiting for new version fo PWG to make this integration more easy.

Thanks in advance

Before the end of February 2009.

It's a project. So in the weeks after Piwigo 2.0.0 launch, we will discuss about how Piwigo and WordPress should be integrated. I don't know yet what implementation will result of this discussion. A plugin? A special build? Changes in Piwigo core? I don't know yet.

Re: Wordpress integration problems...

Hi,

I get the same error with Wordpress 2.8 and the latest version of Piwigo (2.0.2). That makes unfortunately the whole installation useless...
Too bad, this seemed a nice product. Any hint welcome!

I didn't try WordPress 2.8 right now but I will do it asap.
Depending on what you are expecting I can give you some tips.
