Hi Piwigo Community,

[extension by P@t] Piwigo Auto Upgrade is the recommended upgrade method since Piwigo 2.0.4 (september 2009). Here is a Quick Start Guide:

1. Go to [Administration>Specials>Plugins>Other Plugins] and perform an automatic installation of "Piwigo Auto Upgrade"
2. Go to [Administration>Specials>Plugins] to install and activate this new plugin
3. Go to [Administration>Links>Administration] and perform a "Check for upgrade" action
4. Piwigo tells you that a new version is available and offers to upgrade, click on the link
5. You're now running the most recent version of Piwigo!

No excuse to forget or postpone your upgrade. It truly takes less than 1 minute to run the last and most secure Piwigo version.

In fact, I have a menu entry "check for upgradee, but the "chec k upgrade" plugin is not activated (and is de-activated automatically if I try to activate it)

here the plugin folder content:

add_index admin_multi_view c13y_upgrade Image_For_All language_switch trash
admin_advices autoupdate event_tracer index.php LocalFilesEditor UserStat

notice the "autoupdate" (update, not upgrade)

I don't understand... you can't activate Piwigo Auto Upgrade plugin?
Which version of plugin?

yes, instaklled and activated this morning, "g" version

and I tried to remove the plugin folder and install only the automatic upgrade, nothing better still don't work. (however I still have a "check for update menu")

heu... for 2.0.6 vers 2.0.7, don't works. I have the "a new version is available", but I see no link to install it. May be a permission problem on some folder?

Thanks for the support but point number 4 in your list of procedures never happens, I am using Pwigo ver 2.0.3, now I can't jump to the latest version :( :'(

Anything can be done?

Nothing happens again and using another browser and another version of pwigo (2.0.6) this time, still can't find the link that PLG mentioned in his 4th step.

any other thing to do?! I really not ready to delete and start over with a newer version.

Hi,
When you are logged with Italian language, and you want to use Piwigo AutoUpgrade to upgrade, all step's links of upgrade are http://it.piwigo.org/releases/2.1.0.
