I would really be glad to have an SVN-account, but i do not know what to do with it. A few weeks ago i installed SVN, but couldn't find out what to do with it. I only had problems (especially with installing in Joomla ???!!!) so i deinstalled it last week.
If you can tell me in simple words, if or give me a simple site where i can find out what to do with SVN, i will give it another try.

Are you a Windows, Mac or Linux user?

Windows (Vista :-( )

The first steps on your side are:
* download & install tortoisesvn (Windows restart needed I think)
* download & install wampserver to run Apache/PHP/MySQL on your computer
* in the apache root directory, in a file browser, right click and "checkout" from the URL http://piwigo.org/svn/trunk
* in your web browser, go to http://localhost/trunk and install Piwigo

Id did:
* download & install tortoisesvn (Windows restart needed I think)
* download & install wampserver to run Apache/PHP/MySQL on your computer
But where can i find the apache root directory with my file browser?
(i installed tortoisesvn on D:\Program files\tortoiseSVN, i installed wampserver on D:\wamp\ )
(I use Total Commander as File browser, i use Internet explorer or Firofox as web browser)
Still to go:
* in the apache root directory, in a file browser, right click and "checkout" from the URL http://piwigo.org/svn/trunk
* in your web browser, go to http://localhost/trunk and install Piwigo
Thanks for helping me,
Kees Hessels

Do you realy think this is the easiest way to make changes in the Dutch translation files?
For me it would be easier to have the translation files.
Thanks,
Kees

I found the apache root directory. Just D:\wamp\www
So i could:
* in the apache root directory, in a file browser, right click and "checkout" from the URL http://piwigo.org/svn/trunk
and with some problems and searching at the internet i could:
* in your web browser, go to http://localhost/trunk and install Piwigo
after making a database with myphp.
But now, the translation of Piwigo....
I think i have to do something with SVN... but what...
Can you help, or give me some clues...
Thanks

Have a look at part of this [Forum, post 107208 by plg in topic 15099] Host your extension code on Piwigo Subversion repository (I have pasted it below) to see how to get user and password :
