How your users add their photos
pLoader + plugin community ?
by Add photo 1 to 1 in html form ?
Offline
user upload the pictures one by one thru html-form

These photos aren't movable without loss of the description and comments.
What you can do is associate the pictures to another category visible to users, It will also stay in the categories where they were uploaded

In the current Piwigo 2.1, there are 2 upload forms:
1) one user upload form, at least 6 years old, the one you can activate on physical categories only and which doesn't generate the thumbnail
2) one admin upload form, born 6 months ago, on screen [Administration > Photos > Add], where you can upload several photos at the same time, automatic thumbnail generation and so on.
In the future Piwigo 2.2 (before the end of the year 2010), we will have a single upload form, the one you can see in the administration panel. On gallery side, for your visitors, photos will require a validation from the administrator before becoming visible.
Photos uploaded with the new form will not be strongly bound to a physical category. You will be able to move them from a category to another.
My suggestion is to be patient and wait for Piwigo 2.2 :-)

Hi I have ver 2.2.1 at photos.ireneeng.com
I'm trying to move a photo around and this thread came up. Is there a way to move a picture from one category to another? Thanks.

Hi Irene Eng,
There is currently no "move photos" feature (I will add it), you have to go through 2 steps:
1) associate photos to album2
2) dissociate photos from album1
and your photos will be moved from album1 to album2

Thanks PLG.
It's too much ado so I tried to delete the photo instead .. .. so I came to a new problem:
I don't see the two photos I wanted to delete .. when I went to Admin/Recent photos
The two pics I wanted to delete are under Pet Projects.
Thanks.
