Thank you for the Preview Plugin! :-)
It's just a bit buggy...
I'm using Chrome.
It tends to show only part of the picture, or it's off screen, or the border doesn't go all the way around. Also, if there is a PWG Stuffs Block showing Cooliris, the preview is always partially under it.
See pics.

Thanks for the update to this plugin, Flop25. It works much better. It doesn't split anymore, the frame goes all the way around, and it positions on the screen better, too.
I also tested it in a browser on my Android phone and it's ok. The pictures don't re-position on it but that's a limitation of the browser and the phone as much as it is Image Preview.

Flop25,
I tested Image Preview in IE8 and it will only show the preview one time. After that, when I mouse-over a thumbnail, there is just a blank white box.
Also, when the picture does show, the right white frame border is very wide, about 12 times wider than the rest of the border.
I have upgraded to Piwigo 2.2.5 and all upgraded plugins. I'm not using extensions. I also have deactivated plugin cl-conflict, which caused problems with Image Preview. I'm using the flop_mauve theme.
After deactivating cl-conflict, it tests good in Chrome and Firefox on Kubuntu, Firefox on Windows XP, and Dolphin and the default Web browser on the Sidekick 4G Android phone.

I solved it by de-selecting "Opacity on Mouse-over."
I also got rid of the wide right border by changing the Maximum Width to be more than the Maximum Height by a minimum of the ratio of the picture width to picture height.
For example, in previewing pictures that were 800 wide by 600 high (1.33 ratio), I set the preview to maximum 700 wide by 500 high (1.4 ratio). The border was then even all around.
The other browsers were unaffected by the change.

it seems that the new options are buggy with autosize
for the border, I didn't understand (I've checked your website but...) so you can try :
#tooltip {
border-radius: 8px 8px 8px 8px;
padding: 8px;
}
or less padding if you prefer

I had already uninstalled the autosize plugin as it had caused the copyright to be hidden under the metadata on photo pages.
Thank you for the alternative solution to the border. How do I know what file to edit to add that too?

for that css code, as usual : in the css rules for the theme flop_mauve via localfile editor

Hi flop,
This issue with the border not completely going all the way around the image once loaded seems to be happening again on Chrome. I've tried it out on my Piwigo install and it also happens on the demo at http://www.planete-flop.fr/gallerie/index.php. Is it possible to find a fix? I've tried messing around with the borders and putting the border on the thumbnail img css class instead of padding on the thumbnail class seems to work good, but only for small borders.
