Errors Howto restore thumbnails
Hello, I used ploader, everything worked until the stopped uploading thumbnails. I found that they keep ./_data/i/upload/*-in folders without logic. . / gallery is empty, and real images are stored in the ./upload without logic. I decided to try Multiple size/Photo sizes/reset to default and all thumbnails photos disappeared. Experience in administration of albums to reload option thumbnails but does not work. What to do? I do not want to change Piwigo (many months of hard work), but if the problem is not resolved I will be forced.
P.S. I tried plugin - Thumbnails Regeneration although not for 2.4.6 - realy not work.

Since piwigo 2.4 Regenerate is include on piwigo
Go to Administration -> Photos -> Batch Manager

The solution: a new clean installation Piwigo or switching to an alternative platform (which has a built-in backup system recovery).
Conclusion: Do not update the version PIwigo - need endless free time and nerves. :)

It seems that you completely missed the point : Piwigo 2.4 is a major update and a deep modification of the code of piwigo BUT no files is deleted ! You didn't lost anything!

The platform is not perfect, no one can deceive. Strength and that is open and everyone could make it better. So there is nothing to offend but to face the facts. Strong is one that admits mistakes and learn from them. I shared my experience, after more than three days trying to restore the system with the help of the community of Piwigo. While not a perfect operating backup system recovery, my advice is to remove the automatic update because everyone is at my place. Thank you.

the automatic upgrade warns you to make a backup so...
and if you don't understant how it's written there http://piwigo.org/basics/upgrade_manual
So if you just did a backup of the database -as every software recommend before major update-, you could have restore Piwigo back to old version
and 3days? well this thread started yesterday and the main conversation is in 12h

No need, thanks anyway. I regained everything from scratch on version 2.4.6 and now everything is fine. I acquired experience was invaluable and now I think I know what to expect from the system. :)
P.S. Before you waste your time on the community. I read the forums for similar problems and tried everything in those 3 days, it was found that the community as a solution. I really believe that Pivigo will grow if there is a simple integrated system for effective recovery and archiving. Thank you.
