we have just installed and attempted to use the Batch Downloader plugin. It adds the archived folders, but they are empty. Any advice?
how do you want we help you with such few info ?
what is your server configuration ? how many photos did you try to download ? witch size ?
can we get a link to your website, so we can test ourselves ? (will need an account too if registratiosn are not openned)

I tried to download 314 photos into 3 archived folders (which were created automatically by piwigo). I selected "original" size. All three archived folders are empty. Is there an email address where I can send a screenshot and log in information?
if you register in the forum you can send private messages
you could a least copy past the information available on the home admin screen
how many pixels and megabytes is "original" ? (average)

Hi,
Thanks for your help the other day.
I've attached a screen shot here of the attempted gallery download using Batch Downloader.
It's approximately 270MB total over the 314 photos, and each photo is on average 4,000 pixels wide.
I appreciate your continued support to help us figure this out.
Thanks very much.

Thank you. I have just sent you an email message with your account log in details for our gallery. Please let me know if you don't receive it.

personnally I don't get empty ZIP, I get "Unable to locate file." error, not the same thing
ask your host if a full error log is available

Our host does not have anything showing on the error log.
I am now getting the same "Unable to Locate File" error too.

I can't help you more, sorry
Even with PclZip it doesn't work
you will have to do without it

Is there someone else on the Piwigo support team who might be able to help us? If we can't resolve this that it will be a shame if we have to completely change from Piwigo. We love using it.
Is there another plugin available aside from Batch Downloader that might work to allow us to download multiple images at once?
Thanks again.

I too am getting problems with the batch downloader. I get a zip file generated - always of 22 bytes and which contains no attached files. I am not able to use ZipArchive (on shared server) and PClzip appears to be located correctly but changes to permissions does not help. There are no error messages generated on the server.
the regular download of single images works OK - I have configured to do this from thumbnails in addition to the regular method but I would love to be able download the complete user collection. Is it possible to disable the zipping of files and just do a straight download of unzipped images. In any case I am not sure of the advantage of zipping because as I understand it jpeg files do not compress very much. I have tried with Firefox and with Chrome and under Linux Mint and Win xp
working under
PHP 5.2.12
PclZip 2.8.2
Everything else works smoothly. Anyone else managed to solve this one?

The point of zipping is not compression (there is no compression actually) but having one file to download
How do you want to download many files in one shot otherwise ?
as I answered to DanielleGreason, I absolutely don't know what I can do
ps: I'm on a shared host and ZipArchive is active, it's only a matter of willing of your host

I had the same problem here. The reason was that the path where the zip was generated was not the same, the download.php used when trying to retrieve the download.
So I had 2 download_archives directories.
Linking one to the other solved the problem.
