Re: META tags (Individuel for each page).

Here are the steps i took

1. Deleted existing meta plugin.
2. Re-install meta plugin via Plugins-Other Plugins Available
3. Activate plugin meta

In my Plugins list i see 'meta'

4. I download the zip version of the changeset file
5. I extract the file on my PC
6.I copy up via ascii ftp to my site the updated versions of the files into the correct directories (6 files)
7. I click on check for updates & see the update message :-

meta     Install | download | Ignore this update
Version auto     Downloads: 14020 New Version : 2.5.a | By ddtddt

8 I click on install and get the all updates are upto date
9. Meta is still active, I deactivate & reactivate
10 I still only see the old 'meta' plugin not the new 'manage tag'

Regards

Paul

Re: META tags (Individuel for each page).

Ok, I understand and can now see the extra tabs, still under 'meta' plugin

I also got the following error when the plugin was active :-

33 Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "" in /customers/2/5/9/michelledaniels.co.uk/httpd.www/photos/include/smarty/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1093

This was on my additional page which is currently set to my homepage

If I look at my page sourse I see :-

33<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">
<html lang="en" dir="ltr">
<head>

The 33 should not be there, you can see  on www.michelledaniels.co.uk/photos

Re: META tags (Individuel for each page).

These are the plugins I use

        Add < head > element
        Additional Pages
        Grum Plugin Classes
        GThumb+
        LocalFiles Editor
        Mobile Theme for Tablets
        Page title
        Perso Footer
        PWG Stuffs
        Showcase
        Social Buttons
        Statistics

The error appears on every page when the plugin is activated.

Re: META tags (Individuel for each page).

Hi,

Not this, I removed all my code from the page banner under configuration/option and still the same error.

Do you have a ftp link to download a complete version of the plugin rather than the individual files

Re: META tags (Individuel for each page).

I did have a my-header.tpl modification but I deactivated that and removed the updated template file, still the same issues.

It seems to be 2 issues

1 - Is that 33 gets written as the very first thing in my html file :-

33<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN"

2 - Is the smarty error

Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "" in /customers/2/5/9/michelledaniels.co.uk/httpd.www/photos/include/smarty/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1093

Re: META tags (Individuel for each page).

Hi ,

Looking much better, the text in html header has gone.

I have completed the following tests :-

1.Set meta desc on Additional Page
2 Set meta desc on album
3. Set meta desc on sub-album
4. Set meta desc on photo

All seems to be ok.

One question, how do I set the meta-desc on the catgories page :-

http://www.michelledaniels.co.uk/photos … categories

Many thanks for the support
