It's a common practice on any kind of apps to display a "Did you know" popup with basic hint about the usage of the current page, with "never show again", "close" and "next hint" buttons
perhaps it would be interresting to add this kind of stuff in Piwigo
it could be integrated in the Take a Tour plugin, and hints about a tour already taken are not shown

that is part on a more fundamental rework of our Help; by that I mean the different Helps in Piwigo and on piwigo.org

As if there is not already enough crap to click away on the web. Perhaps it is a "common practice" in programmers’ world, but could you point to a resource proving such bloat is desired among users?

I AM very happy to get this kind of hints when I install a software a bit complex
And I never said that this will not be totally removable
Also we are JUST discusing about potential doc improvements
so stop being rude for nothing !

Hi all,
Just to add a comment I also dislike these kind of pop ups, as long as there is an option for a disable forever , i'll be happy
Mistic, my issue with these popups is that most often they are not written by people that understand the software and are real basic (i.e. rtfm :-)
Cheers
