Hi KenL :p

Still me. I'm using your miraculous soft every days. It's working, but sometimes, I've an 405 error (method not allowed), and it's stop the upload of album.
When this error occurs, the picture is upload sometime, and the other time no. It depend, sometimes it's the facetag information, or any other data...

I don't know if it's my picture, my server (OVH) or Picasa2Piwigo.

EDIT : After several tests, it's not the picture because the second time, the picture with the error is upload. Perhaps it's come from the server. The method POST is concerned I think...

Any suggestion ?

Hello Thibault,

I have seen the error, rarely, when using my server. I can not give you a quick answer but my first request is that you enable logging and send me log file after the problem occurs. In the mean time I can start researching the issue...

Another issue : I've contact who like Loïc, or Stéphanie.
And your soft never upload their facetag, perhaps it's the caract ï and é ??
The others facetag are correctly created.

Hello Thibault,

I took a look at this issue and it's related to the handling of UTF-8 string data stored in the photo. I will work on a fix for this and supply a debug version for you.

Concerning the 405 error issue, I've probably found the origin.
I use 2 PC at the same time (different ADSL connexion) to upload pictures on my server.
And they are affect by the 405 error.

Since this morning, I use only one PC (one instance of Picasa2Piwigo), and I've upload 2 albums without any error.
Still survey, but perhaps it's a limitation due to the pooling of servers...

EDIT: I've talk to fast. Still the error. I've opened a support ticket to OVH to identify the issue.

EDIT 2: All caractere are concerned (maj and min):
a -> à@âä
e -> éèêë
i -> ïî
o -> öô
u -> ùüûµ
and -> ç&

EDIT 3: I've got, this morning, the 405 error issue all the time on a specific picture. If I don't select it for the upload, all the other are uploaded successfuly. And if I try to upload it alone, I've got the issue. Strange, the picture is same type like the other... Something in this picture must be different.

This should solve the issues with people tags such as Loïc, or Stéphanie.

Regarding the 405 error - If a particular photo is causing the issue to appear, maybe you could share the photo with me?

I've try this debug version, but the problem persist.
And I've the 405 error on the picture with the facetag with special caracteres ! Only on it.
Sometimes it's work, sometimes not, but It's always on this king of picture (with special facetag) where I've the issue 405.

EDIT: So, I've try an another picture (with the same facetag of the picture in the link), and it's work. The facetag Aurélie Blin is correctly fill up (with the é). So, the error is elsewhere...

So, I've think I've found the problem of the error 405.
During the upload of the album, I've three pictures who I can't upload them.
And these picture weigh more than 5Mo ! (Your's in the dl link weigh 8.56Mo), and the other weigh 12.6Mo and 9.78Mo.

I think the function who upload the file take too much time to finish and the server send an error 405 for the POST function.
So now, the question is where I can change the value to the TTL of this kind of function on my server, and if I've access to it (not on a dedicaced server...).

Hello Thiabult,

Thank you for the information. I have tried uploading your example photo to my piwigo server and it worked ok. Then I reduced the post_max_size value in my server's php.ini file to 1 MB and tried to upload your photo. The photo failed to upload with a 405 error. So, maybe this is the problem you are having.

Hello KenL,

So, the actual version of your soft works perfectly.
I confirm that is the weigh of the file who is the issue (> 6Mo).

Here, the phpinfo() result :

post_max_size 64M
upload_max_filesize 64M

But I think there's an another problem with the php setttings...
Perhaps the TimeOut Apache setting...
I've try to contact OVH without success...

EDIT:
So the error come from the max_execution_time variable in the php.ini
The problem, it's not a dedicaced server, so I'ven't access to this setting.
And the support contact don't answer...

EDIT2:
They can't modify this setting. KenL, have you a function who can split the file in several part to not exceed the max_execution_time 300s ?
Or mayby I'm in a dead end ?
