Given the huge amount of open source work so far on this projet, I do not think money for coding is the main motivation. But of course I may be wrong.
Long life to Piwigo !
I think your right, but sometimes money can speed up the development. This Plugin is an example : [Forum, topic 24385] Crowdfunding [Plugin] Download permission => [DONE] And, it's OpenSource ;)
@Danibo, your like is bugged (an "r" is missing). Correct link : http://www.bilderlager.ch/test_bilderlager/

It's been a while since I gave any update to my work on the theme, because there has been none - I've been busy with other things, until yesterday.
Just to let you know, the project isn't dead and it's actually looking fairly complete and feels like there is not that much left to do now. I'm hopeful that I might even have a fully working version by the end of the week.

Awesome news! Thanks for the theme update.

The theme now is 99% complete and I'm actually using it on my own album. Only thing missing is the calendar stuff which I haven't had a chance to do.
I've gone ahead an published a preview release here: http://piwigo.org/ext/extension_view.php?eid=796

Unfortunate timing, I was just in the process of deleting it from my main site so I can install it from the uploaded version to make sure everything was working. It's back as the default theme again now :)

Oh yes, awesome theme (and I do not exagerate). I love the demo site. I will try it today on my Piwigo for test :-)

Hi,
The theme requires PHP 5.3 or higher.
