Hello/Hi/Greetings,

Hello,

I do have 2 Piwigo installations. I do see the .htaccess in the root of the one and not in another one via Filezille.

Is it somehow hidden/protected or just plain missing? Should I create my own instead the missing one?

I understand that the file MUST be there. If I don't see it via Filezilla, it means that it might be hidden, correct?

no no
it means the one you see comes from an update and the other doesn't exist at all probably because that install is more recent; it can't be hidden as far as i know
in any case, if you don't open it, I can't tell for sure what it does and so where it comes from. it might also be something from your host, from an other script..

I was going to make changes to the URL's as it was discussed in this forum earlier. For that purpose I would have to make changes to the .thaccess file. But I can not find it. What's the fix?
