Greetings,
When I look at the 52 images I just uploaded, they all look fine:

When I try to rearrange them, about half have a gray box, the file name and a broken picture icon:
https://www.fractasia.com/admin.php?pag … sort_order
It is hard to rearrange them if you can't see half of them.
Many are Nikon D800E images as large as 36.2 Mpix or 7340x4912 resolution
I have tried looking at them in both Firefox and Chrome, both latest on OpenSuse Tumbleweed/64
Linux vulcan 4.13.10-1-default #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Oct 27 09:03:09 UTC 2017 (db36cf8) x86_64 GNU/Linux
Any ideas?
Brian

You could try the plugin physical2virtual . And then don't upload via FTP.

you could try to manually build the derivatives after upload.
you could go to Batch Manager => Action => Generate multiple size images.

The problem is that Piwigo can't even load some of the images. I tried to resize one and it popped up the error screen seen below: "The Image Failed to Load".
The size is 7360x4912 pixels and 15.13 MB. Photoshop, XView, Gimp, showFoto, Gwenview, Ocular and even Chrome with the "Local Image File Viewer" module show this image perfectly. This is not an image problem when 7 of 8 programs find no error.
I wonder whether the Piwigo system is spawning a virtual machine with too little memory which is crashing under the load of ImageMagick and a large image.
Other weird behavior is that yesterday, about half of 51 images were crashing. This morning, only 7 are grayed out.
Some system tech might have noticed all of the crash reports and made some adjustment.
Is there a way to file a system bug report?

that's a picture generation issue

The Thumbnails are all showing now. Thank you Team!
Was the fix to increase VM memory?
Just wondering,

probably because -if i remeber well- that admin doesn't have the loader of the public frontend which ask for thumbnails 5 by 5 ; so on the admin page everything is asked immediately and the pictures may have quite a lot of delay to be displayed
